Scott Hanselman – It’s not what you read, it’s what you ignore

Pocket (the app) recommended to me the following summary, written by Danny Schreiber, of key points by Scott Hanselman, valuable for all of us, especially the us which feels he or she is always busy and doesn’t have enough time doing the things they want, need to do, etc.

I do not have anything to add to this, but just to highlight the two points I particularly found useful:

– ignore as much of the things you can and focus. Most of the information is invaluable, drop it and focus. Hanselman presents a 2 by 2 matrix, with on the axes urgency and importance. Check it out.

– effectiveness means doing the right things, efficiency means doing the things right.

The video presentation by Scott Hanselman himself.
